First Appointment

Pre-Assessment Consultation – £120

This 1-hour appointment is the first step for both ADHD and ASD assessments. It’s a relaxed discussion about your experiences and the reasons you are seeking an assessment.

During the pre-assessment consultation, we will talk about:

  • Physical Health: Your overall physical health over your life including any long term conditions as well as any current symptoms.
  • Mental Health: Your experience, past and present, of anxiety or depression as well as any other mental health difficulties.
  • Symptoms: Issues associated with ADHD or ASD such as with focus, hyperactivity, impulsivity, and how they affect your life.
  • Childhood Symptoms: For adults, we’ll also consider whether symptoms have been present from childhood.
  • Settings: Where you experience symptoms; for example, home, school, work or social situations and where they are most problematic.
  • Measurement: We will complete some brief psychometric measures looking at anxiety and mood as well as ADHD and ASD symptoms.

The purpose of this appointment is to determine how likely it is that the symptoms you are experiencing are caused by ADHD or ASD. It is also an opportunity to discuss your difficulties with a psychologist who may be able to advise on the most appropriate next steps for you.

This session is standalone, with no pressure to continue.

Assessment Pathways

ADHD Assessment

Adult and Children £950

If we agree to continue to a full assessment for ADHD after your pre-assessment consultation:

  1. Questionnaires: You will be asked to complete a small number of questionnaires about the full range of your symptoms before your full assessment appointment.
  2. Assessment Appointment: A 3-hour appointment within 2 to 3 weeks of the pre-assessment consultation. We use a reliable and approved semi-structured interview to determine if you meet the criteria for a diagnosis of ADHD. We can split this appointment into 2 x 90 minute appointments if you prefer.
  3. Collaboration: In order to work within the NICE Guidelines, we talk to someone who knows you well (ideally a parent, sibling, partner or close friend) to gather their perspective on your symptoms.
  4. Outcome: If ADHD is diagnosed, we will identify the type of ADHD present – for example, inattentive, hyperactive, or combined type.

You will receive verbal feedback on the same day of your assessment whenever possible.

A comprehensive report will be issued to you within 4 weeks of your assessment and support is available to help you at this time:

  • Confirmation Letter: The outcome of your assessment.
  • Detailed Report: All the details, results, and recommendations from your assessment, including if medication is appropriate.
  • Follow-Up Appointment: A 1-hour session to discuss your report, next steps and any questions you may wish to ask.
  • Referral: To our preferred prescribers if required.

ASD Assessment

Children £2,200 / Adult & Teen £1,800

3-Hour Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R)

This detailed psychometric interview requires someone who knows you well to talk about your early development; this is ideally completed with a parent.

If required, this interview can be divided into two appointments.

Two 2-Hour Appointments:

These appointments allow us to fully explore your symptoms and experiences to determine whether a diagnosis of ASD is appropriate

  • Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule 2 (ADOS 2)
  • Semi-Structured Interview

Depending on your symptoms we may complete some further psychometric measurements in the form of questionnaires. For children, a school visit before the ADOS is often helpful.

Comprehensive Report:

Similar to the ADHD assessment, you will be provided with a full and comprehensive report with recommendations for next steps. A follow-up appointment is also offered as part of your assessment package.

Combined Assessments

Children Combined ASD & ADHD £2,700

Adult & Teen Combined ASD & ADHD £2,300

  • We can do assessments for both ADHD and ASD together.
  • Costs will be confirmed upon enquiry.

What is a Screening Appointment?2026-06-17T09:08:54+01:00

The first step in the assessment process is a screening appointment. This takes place with one of our experienced psychologists or Occupational Therapists and includes:

  • A one-hour appointment either in-person or online

  • Allows us to determine how likely it is that a condition such as ADHD and/or ASD is present

Depending on the information you provide, we would discuss the most appropriate way forward – whether full testing or not. There is no obligation to continue to a full assessment – many clients find this session alone to be very helpful.

The screening appointment has a cost of £120. If you do continue to a full assessment, the fee paid is deducted from the total assessment cost.
